BeCurious

Game Designer, Level Designer & Narrative Designer

Tell the aventures of intrepids teenagers through surprising stories. Interact with the environment and guide the characters towards different dénouements. If one of them don't convice you . . . rewrite time!

The project Be Curious was the last of my school curriculum. It was, apart of some small projects, the only one that we, the group and I, worked on in this school year. The goal here was to develop a game by going through its every steps in order to get ready for a professional doorway.

On this project, I have mainly worked on the narrative. This was an important element because of the major place of the stories that are told in the game.

Cursed Fate: The Prince

Programmer & Game Developer

You embody a young prince named Octave who, at his return at his kingdom after being moved away in order to cure a strange and serious disease, found nobody to welcome him. Will you be able to detect all mysteries that hover your kingdom?

Cursed Fate: The Prince is a Point & Click made while our first school year, while our first Workshop. This Workshop had as particularity to take place in only one week, and we had to respect mandatory themes, randomly chosen. Those were the following: Monarchy, Medium and Burried. Also, at this time, we were at the beginning of the year and we didn't have much experience.

Neuroshima Hex Army

Game Designer & Graphic Producer

Neuroshima Hex! is a strategy board game in which each player control an army represented by hexagonal tiles. Each army fights each other in a post-apocalyptic world in order to be the one with most health points.

For this project, we had to create our own army, from establishing its story, its rules, its specificities, to designing the tiles while respecting the design of the original game.

This project has undemonized the DTP (desktop publishing) that seemed to me boring and tedious. But thanks to it, I learned that, with the good methods and tools, the DTP was way more easy than I though.

Bipolar Universe

Programmer & Game Developer

Bipolar Universe is a Puzzle Game where you embody a little magician lizard trying to escape a strange castle.

You will have to use your magical spell that changes the dimension your in to finish each level.

This game was a school project that follows us half the first year. At first we had to create a game concept, then some of these game concepts were selected and divided, one for each group. I decided to work on this one because I saw a lot of possibilities in it.

The development of the game is not finished yet, we had so many ideas while we were working on it that we wanted to push it even further the end of the year.

Speedcooking

Game Designer & Graphic Producer

Speedcooking is a card game in which you will have to cooperate to serve all your clients. Gather the ingredients that you need to complete each of your order.

Speedcooking was a project of the Game Design class in which we had to choose a video-game of reference and to create a tabletop game inspired by it. The one we chose was Overcooked.

This game is kinda special for me because I was out of my comfort zone while making it. Indeed, I mainly worked on the graphic side of the game which is completely opposed to what I do usually.

N.B. All of the graphic assets don't belong to us, no incomes are made from them. Their use is only within the scope of the exercise.

Worms Inspired Microgame

Game Designer, Programmer & Game Developer

This project aimed to develop a WarioWare game like from the microgames of all students of the class. Also, we had to choose a video-game as inspiration. The game was expected to be on mobile.

For mine, I chose the game Worms as inspiration and more precisely the weapon "Armageddon" which is an asteroids rain that destroy almost everything. So the goal here is to push away the asteroids that are falling on our character. According to the number of levels we've achieved, the asteroids are faster and more numerous.

Mahjong (MVC Pattern)

Programmer

A little project, created during the Coding classes, consisting in a simplified Mahjong. In fact, the goal of this project wasn't to create a perfect reproduction of a simple game, but to experiment a software architectural pattern, here the Model-view-controller pattern.

This project was a very interesting way to approach programmation, follow a certain pattern to get what you want was a way more thorough method than just go blindly into it.

The Shadow Killer

Game Concept

You are a hitman in a Steampunk universe and you have to use your environment in order to eliminate your target without being suspected.

The Shadow Killer was a Game Concept made for the previously named project that followed us half a year. We had to imagine the concept for a Puzzle Game with a mandatory theme in order to eventually be selected to be one of these projects.

Playdate Bomberman

Programmer

Playdate is a little retro handheld game console that has the particularity to be equipped with a crank on the side of the console.

Due to the very specific console and its game development method, this project was an introduction to the development without an interface included to the game engine. It was also a complete discovery of a new language: the Lua.
